Little B is six months old! He loves his mama and daddy so much and has a smile ready for them at the drop of a hat. It was not raining (a huge bonus) this October day in Vancouver, so after a few indoor shots, we decided to go play at the park to take advantage of the colorful leaves that still hang on the trees. One good windstorm and the trees around here will be nothing but sticks until Spring comes again. We laughed, B took a ride in his special little wagon that grandma gave him, and we got some joy-filled photos in the process. I love this session. I hope you enjoy it too!

Omgoodnes! Are these brothers not the cutest ever? They were so kind to me too. I didn’t get pooped or peed on, they slept for most of the time and let me pose and move them around. And the best part? I get to document their entire first year! I couldn’t be happier!

I am the lucky girl who gets to photograph sweet little Beckett every 3 months for his first year! Seriously….you’re just a smidge jealous, right? He kills me with cuteness every time I look into those big eyes and he bats his illegally long eyelashes. At 3 months old, the smiles just start to really come out and sometimes I can even get a coo or two from the little ones. I like to make the 3rd month photos about the family and the changes that have come about with the addition of this new little life. These sessions tend to be more “lifestyle” portraits, telling a story about life as it is with a new baby and after the newborn stage has really sunken in. Looks like Beckett’s family has adjusted very well. There were loads of little smiles, coos, and kisses. I can’t wait to go back for more this Fall!

Little Miss D is full of delight and zestful energy like most almost 2 year olds are! In our short time together, we ran, played, made kitty sounds, looked for butterflies and chased. Photographing children is so much fun! You never know what will make them pause just for a second and look right at you. You have to be ready to catch it! I met up with the Williams family at Fort Vancouver for some new family group photos. Their oldest is about to graduate high school and this was potentially the last opportunity to take family photos before he leaves the nest. We made us of the gorgeous greenery and historic houses on the grounds for some family together time.

These two spunky sweeties participated in my spring mini session special. Every once in a while I do one of these types of deals. It’s especially great for families and children over the age of 3 (the under 3 set usually needs longer to warm up and not hide from the camera, but there are exceptions to that rule!) to update photos and have a few images to give to grandparents. Running around, playing, laughing, picking dandelions, soaking in the sunshine….it was all a part of our morning together and I enjoyed every second!

K.t is bubbly, happy, talkative, warm and a total extravert. On top of that, she is polite and kind and has big, bright blue eyes that are a dream to photograph. I hear she’s a darn good softballer too. K.t had a headshot session earlier in the Fall in order to make her school’s yearbook deadline, but as soon as the weather got a little nicer we got together again for her full senior session a few weeks ago.
