I love winter….it’s so beautiful outside with all of the moss and gnarly trees and white bark and dried grass. No, I’m not kidding. I love it. I think it’s beautiful. See for yourself.

As your photographer, my ultimate goal is to draw out your story, your personality, your individuality and true emotion. I am not a traditional studio photographer, but rather choose to take a more photojournalistic approach to children and family portraiture, capturing you in the moment - laughing, loving and interacting just as you do every day. I prefer to stand back and capture life as it happens. A session with me is never rushed, never uncomfortable, never about seeking a "cheese-face" grin. What you will get from a session with me is honest emotion - the real you. Real life. Pure Joy!
Let's get started, shall we?

After reading and re-reading and getting all goosebump-y over the letters turned in nominating deserving families for my Giving Is Awesome special giveaway, I am happy to announce that I have decided to gift two special women with custom photography packages. Sheila and Kara, I can’t wait to meet you. All my best to you...

This little lady isn’t even from this state! Nope, her extended family lives here and they were visiting and thought it would be a great time to update some portraits. I had a lovely time meeting you today Miss H! You did so great!
In conjuction with Giving Is Awesome , I’d like for you to help me open my heart to someone in need.
Do you know someone who’s struggling? Someone who has perhaps experienced a personal tragedy, has lost a job or maybe works more than one job while raising children and is struggling to keep financially afloat?...
I had a fun mini session with this cute family this morning. They brightened up the dreary cold weather for sure. Their little guy is just 2 months old and was so accomodating to us taking him outside for some holiday family portraits. Thank you to the R family! Hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful.
We had so much fun walking the neighborhood sidewalks, going up to the nearby playground, and playing with favorite toys all for the sake of getting some fun family portraits. When I left, mom said to me, “That was fun! I was all prepared for it not to be, but I really enjoyed that!” Like...
Here are a few more from one of yesterday’s mini sessions. It was really pouring down rain, so we found this beautifully lit little nook and worked it out anyway.
I told myself I wasn’t going to even look at the hundreds of photos I took from my marathon of mini sessions today, but, I did. I HAD to. Yes, I know I have a weakness. I’m going to REALLY look at them tomorrow, but for now, these two really spoke to me and I...
